Remakes of ‘Resident Evil 2’, ‘Resident Evil 3’ and ‘Resident Evil 4’ Launch October 16 for Switch 2 [Trailer]

If you’ve been waiting on Capcom’s ports of the Resident Evil 2: Deluxe Edition, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 4: Gold Edition remakes for the Nintendo Switch 2, you’ll be in for a busy time next month. Capcom announced during the Nintendo Direct that the trio games will arrive for the Switch 2 via the Nintendo eShop on October 16. Not only that, but there will also be physical editions that will arrive on January 29, 2027.

All three remakes will join the other RE Engine Resident Evil games (that would be Resident Evil Village Gold Edition, Resident Evil 7 biohazard Gold Edition and Resident Evil Requiem), which all launched back in February.

The news comes as Capcom’s Dev 1 team announced last night that the Resident Evil 2 remake has now shipped over 20 million copies across PC and consoles. That update comes after the remake became the highest-selling entry in the series back in July.
