Time once again to decimate heretics in Auroch Digital and Big Fan Games’ Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun II, which is now available on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and the Xbox Series. Accompanying the release is the customary launch trailer, which shows off more of the game’s unrestrained carnage.
Traveling to an isolated star system to check on reports of increased Chaos activity, playable characters Ultramarine Malum Caedo and Sister of Battle Nyra Veyrath soon find themselves facing the wrath of Vashtorr the Arkifane. A demigod of immense power, Vashtorr awakens a vast daemonic machine at the centre of the planet, causing a catastrophic explosion and destroying much of the Imperial fleet. Now Malum and Nyra must race from world to world to cleanse the corruption powering Vashtorr’s daemonic machinations – and to stand a chance of banishing the demigod back to the Warp.
Continuing where the original Boltgun left off, Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun II features more retro-inspired combat, where you will master different playstyles and arsenals while cleansing your enemies in the name of the Emperor. Play as either the all-new, agile, blade-wielding Sister of Battle Nyra Veyrath, or cut through heretics as the hulking one-man army returning from the original Boltgun, Ultramarine Malum Caedo.
Accompanying the action are the growling guitars and hammering drums, with an all-new composition from Mick Gordon (DOOM (2016), DOOM Eternal).
Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun II will also be coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 later this year.
