Marvel has spent all week teasing a new Spider-Man project, which many initially believed to be a comic book adaptation of Sam Raimi’s unmade Spider-Man 4. That wasn’t what they were actually teasing, however, as it’s been revealed today that the new comic book series is simply titled Spider-Man, and it was written by J.J. Abrams and his son Henry Abrams!
The five-part miniseries will feature a brand new villain, teased on #1’s cover: Cadaverous.
“There’s a crazy new villain that we can’t wait for you to meet,” Abrams teases.
“Cadaverous” means “resembling a corpse in being very pale, thin, or bony.”
The series features art from Sara Pichelli, and Issue #1 goes on sale in September!
