Examples: Bram Stoker’s Dracula and 30 Days Of Night
Okay, what happened here? Films like the Underworld franchise and Van Helsing have pretty much ruined the vampire genre. We got a brief glimpse of amazing vampire power was like in 30 Days Of Night but what has there been since then? While I appreciate the romantic stylings of Bram Stoker’s Dracula, perhaps we should ditch the whole “oh my god vampires are so cool I want to be one” aspect that Underworld brought about and make them terrifying again.
