5 Horror Games We Missed At E3 2014!

With another E3 in the bag, now we get to look back and wonder where all those horror games we thought might make an appearance are. This year’s expo was arguably pretty fantastic for horror fans, but that doesn’t mean there weren’t a few — or, as we’re about to discuss, a lot — of glaring omissions. If there was a horror game you were particularly excited for that didn’t make an appearance last week, this is your time to talk about it.

Don’t worry, this is a safe place to vent your frustrations. Let’s talk about it.

Resident Evil 7

E314_2

Let’s kick this off with the big one. I wasn’t too surprised when I realized we wouldn’t be seeing anything, even a teaser, for Resident Evil 7. Capcom has a lot to prove with this next game, which could either redeem or finish what Resident Evil 6 and Operation Raccoon City started and forever break the franchise. It needs to be scary as much as it needs to be focused. RE6 was a bloated mess that tried, and failed, to appeal to everyone.

There’s still a chance we’ll hear from it this year, potentially at Tokyo Game Show in September or at Gamescom in November. I sincerely hope Capcom has taken the cries of their fans into account, because another bad Resident Evil may end up being the final nail in this series’ coffin.
