Leprous – Tobias Ørnes Andersen
I’m a huge supporter of these guys and still blast Bilateral and Coal on a regular basis. If you’re into progressive rock/metal that is incredibly artistic and loads of fun, you should be listening to these guys every chance you get.
What Andersen does behind the kit is very often something clever and tight. His drum fills put a huge smile on my face and his Tomas Haake-esque ability to play different rhythms with different limbs truly astounds me.
Sadly, Andersen left the band earlier this year and was replaced by Baard Kolstad, who played with the band on their 2013 Coal tour. However, I’m more than willing to give Kolstad the benefit of the doubt and see what he’s capable of!
