The announcement yesterday of Silent Hills sent survival horror fans into complete overload. Hideo Kojima, Guillermo Del Toro, and Norman friggin’ Reedus – you’re welcome, Adam – all on one project? It honestly feels like it’s pretty much too good to be true. While I’m hesitant to get my hopes up, I think I’m safe to give this game the full benefit of the doubt.
But when it comes to a game in the Silent Hill franchise, something that is incredibly important is the music. And while people have been drooling over the names attached, I feel that an official composer announcement might amplify the hype level exponentially or, alternatively, cause a great deal of disappointment.
While there is a notable composer in the credits of the teaser trailer, Ludvig Forssell, the lack of an official composer leads me to share several that I feel would be fantastic fits for this latest entry into the series. So, without further ado, below are six composers that I feel would be amazing for Silent Hills!
