Evil Dead
I believe I have made a significant find in the Candarian Ruins. A volume of Ancient Sumarian burial practices and funerary incantations.
Think of how The Exorcist starts, with Max von Sydow in the archaeological ruins of Iraq. Remember how unsettling and uneasy that whole opening segment was? Now, imagine they create something similar but for Evil Dead, following Professor Knowby as he finds the Naturon Demonto, aka Necronomicon.
What I love about this idea is that it has a lot of wonderful possibilities for atmosphere. Ancient ruins, when done properly, can be a fantastic setting for a horror movie. Plus, add in some Raimi-esque dashes of humor and cheesiness and this could be an incredibly fun film!
