Dawn Of The Dead
The Director’s Cut of this film is easily in my Top 10 all time horror films. It’s an incredible film with huge amounts of subtext and social commentary as well as a great score. And what’s fantastic about this movie is that it still brings the gore, which I argue is an incredibly necessary aspect of driving the horror of the situation into the viewer’s head.
Plus, it’s awesome seeing a zombie lose its head thanks to a helicopter blade.
