Jerry Goldsmith – Alien
I can’t help but listen to Jerry Goldsmith’s timeless score for Alien when I want to put myself in an uneasy mood. It’s brilliantly melodic and tense. It coaxes you down a path only to betray you just as you get comfortable. It establishes a perfect uneasy tone that has yet to be emulated in another film score to this day. It really inspires a special type of dread in me.
