The older I get, the more I realize that I’m just not a fan of Kevin Smith. Clerks was great but everything since just keeps going downhill for me. And before you ask, I absolutely hated Red State.
I just can’t get behind Smith’s direction, his writing, his style. It annoys me. It aggravates me. It makes me want to get up and leave.
Look, I’ll give Smith credit for doing something entirely bizarre and outlandish. However, just because it’s different doesn’t make it good.
