Japan Airlines Flight 1628 – November 17, 1986
The Japanese Boeing 747 cargo aircraft (carrying a bunch of Beaujolais, of all things) was traveling from Paris to Tokyo and, while flying over eastern Alaska, the crew noticed two aircraft flying to the left of them. Seemingly escorting the plane, the supposed UFOs had glowing thrusters coming out of their back ends. After a while, those two craft left the plane’s side and a third, disc-shaped craft took their place. Once they were in view of another military craft, the foreign craft was nowhere to be scene. The encounter lasted for a total of 50 minutes.
