“Another film that’s not strictly horror-spoof per se, BUT, definitely pokes fun at the genre in many great ways so I’m listing it. First off let’s acknowledge the talent involved in its creation, so it shouldn’t have surprised me, but definitely did. Love this movie, I mean, it’s highly enjoyable from the get go, grabs the audience with that hilarious, screaming freeze frame on the title card. Cabin, basically says to it’s audience, “I know you know, that we know this is a silly horror premise you’ve seen a million times…but just wait.” They characters in the film literally mutate and screw up the genre over and over to great effect. It’s excellent storytelling, keeps the audience guessing. I would *humbly* profer they eventually spun a little too far off the planet, but hey go for broke sometimes and take a risk. My favorite part is when Chris Hemsworth just launches himself into a canyon on a motorbike and that’s the end of him.”
