Every Kill In The ‘Scream’ Franchise!

Scream 4 (12 Kills)*

28. Marnie Cooper

Marnie died off-screen. Her death in the alternate opening is much better, so I’m posting that one.

Scream 4

29. Jenny Randall

You can’t discuss better alternate opening deaths (if that is something you frequently discuss) without mentioning Jenny’s death. Sure, her death by stabbing/garage door is a nice homage to Tatum’s death in Scream, but there’s just something to realistic and disturbing about being stabbed in front of her best friend (it’s even more disturbing without the music). I love Scream 4, but I really wish they would have just kept the alternate opening, even though there isn’t a phone call.

Scream 4

30. Olivia Morris

Olivia’s death really is the most brutal one in the entire franchise. She is stabbed dozens of times, has her head shoved out a window, gets her intestines spilled out, and the walls are basically painted in her blood. Yeesh.

Scream 4

31. Rebecca Walters

As a big Community fan, it was hard to watch Alison Brie get killed. She did a great job playing a PR slimeball though so it wasn’t that hard to watch her die, especially since she was dumb enough to get out of the car.

Scream 4

32. Ross Hoss

Hoss definitely got the weaker death out of the duo of Scream 4 cops. Just a simple stab in the back. Nothing special.

Scream 4

33. Anthony Perkins

Did anyone know Perkins’ first name was Anthony? I thought that was a nice touch. If you can forget the whole “Fuck Bruce Willis” line ever happened, this is actually a pretty neat kill. Who knew Jill was strong enough to get a knife through someone’s skull?

Scream 4

34. Kate Roberts

While I still wish Lauren Graham (Gilmore Girls, Bad Santa) would have stayed in the role of Jill’s mom, I’m almost glad she didn’t so we wouldn’t have to watch her die (it was kind of a useless, minuscule part anyway). She was stabbed in the back of the neck through a door’s mail slot (by her own daughter, no less).

Scream 4

35. Kirby Reed**

In one of Scream 4’s best (and most heartbreaking) scenes, Kirby is stabbed by the guy who had spent the whole movie flirting with her. What I love about this is that people threw a fit when Hayden Panettiere was cast in the film, but she has turned out to be most people’s favorite character. Go Hayden!

Scream 4

36. Robbie Mercer

I’m not entirely sure where Kevin Williamson got the idea that gay people can’t die in horror movies (Bride of Chuckyanyone?), but you have to feel bad for Robbie pleading to Ghost Face using his sexuality. I always believed him, but apparently there’s been a lot of debate as to whether or not Robbie was actually gay or not. Either way, it didn’t help him survive.

Scream 4

37. Trevor Sheldon

Trevor was shot in the dick. Then in the face. But mostly, the dick. That actually might be more brutal than Olivia’s death.

Scream 4

38. Charlie Walker

Poor Charlie got used and abused by Jill. I’m not sure how he didn’t see it coming, but he got a really big knife shoved in his chest. Ouch.

Scream 4

39. Jill Roberts

I don’t care what you say about the hospital scene being tacked on (or that it is mysteriously abandoned by all of its staff), I like it. Sure, the film would have been darker (and had more of an impact) if it ended with Jill being carried out of her house, with Sidney seemingly dead, but then we wouldn’t have had Sid’s “don’t fuck with the original” and Gale’s “Clear” lines. Anyway, Jill had all of this coming to her, but the defibrillator zap is the most painful to watch.

Scream 4

*I left out the deaths of Trudie, Sherrie and Rachel, since those deaths took place in Stab 6 and Stab 7, fictional movies in the Scream universe.

**I almost didn’t include Kirby because I refuse to believe that she is dead and Wes Craven did state on the Scream 4 commentary that she could potentially come back for a (now defunct) fifth film

So there you have it. All 39 deaths in the Scream franchise. Which ones are your favorites? Let us know in the comments below!
