Ghoulies III: Ghoulies Go To College
The third entry in this oft-forgotten franchise, Ghoulies III: Ghoulies Go To College finds the three toilet-dwelling demon companions – now somehow gifted with speaking abilities – unleashed upon a college campus by an occult-obsessed professor, played by Kevin McCarthy in a perfect exercise of over-the-top villainy. Featuring demon binge drinking, absurdly hilarious death scenes (personal favorite: inexplicable death by plunger to the face), and one of the most confusing sex scenes to ever take place on film (treadmills, man), Ghoulies III is a surprisingly enjoyable slice of early ‘90s horror-comedy for the post-Gremlins crowd. (Fun Fact: It also marks the cinematic debut of Matthew Lillard.)
