Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest
No joke here, some of the music in this game alone scared me. That “Password” track? Always freaked me out. I hated having to enter in the correct password in order to continue where I left off. It was so unsettling.
That being said, I can’t tell you how much I love this game. In my opinion, it’s the first survival horror game ever released. I mean, think about it! You have to collect items and solve weird puzzles in order to progress to new areas. In addition to that, it had multiple endings, which is another survival horror element.
Forget what AVGN says about it, this game is a winner in my book!
