The 7th Guest/The 11th Hour
This was the ultimate PC game when I was growing up. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve played through it. The story of Henry Stauf is super creepy and the Stauf House absolutely terrified me as a child, although I think a big part of that was The Fat Man’s incredible score.
The sequel was far darker, eschewing that almost cheesy playfulness that the original had. That being said, it didn’t drop the scares. In fact, it might’ve amplified them! Two fantastic games that should never be forgotten.
