1. Halloween (1978)
I know, I know, it’s cliché to have the poster for Halloween ranked first, but it really is the best poster! It’s a wonder none of the sequels or remakes could recapture the imagination of the first poster, but that’s just a testament as to how creative this one is. Michael’s veiny hand (seriously, look at that giant vein) is striking, but using the knife as a part of the super evil-looking jack-o’-lantern is one of the more innovative images seen on a poster. It definitely earns its placement at number one!
