Two weeks ago, we introduced you to a new video series on Bloody-Disgusting called Horror Trip, a fascinating series that takes horror tropes, characters, and themes and then proceeds to explain where they come from, what they mean, and what we can learn from them.
This week, our host Ragnar is back to dive into the current zombie craze! Ragnar shows us how the zombie mythos originated in the Caribbean (as seen in Wes Craven’s The Serpent and the Rainbow) and even goes into the medicine, voodoo, and chemistry involved in the original rituals!
As always, the video is witty, it’s charming, and it’s as fun as it is educational, which is why I’m a big fan of the series! Check it out below and let us know your thoughts in the comments!
Ragnar Ulricson, older than he looks and nicer than you think. When he doesn’t make videos about horror stuff and video games on his mildly successful YouTube channel RagnarRox, he works as a (formerly 9-to-5, now independent 24/7) game designer and also loves long, relaxing walks on the beach.
