Vampires
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Buffy the Vampire Slayer is one of the best shows ever created, if not the best. I will fight you to the death on this one. If you’ve never seen it, just be aware that the first season hasn’t aged well. It really picks up about a third of the way into its second season. Sure, it’s all on Netflix, but wouldn’t we all feel a little better to have hard copies of the entire series in our lives? After all, it may not be on Netflix forever!
Dark Shadows
Curently running at the steep price of $356 on Amazon (with an MSRP of $599!), Dark Shadows won’t be an easy buy for anyone (unless you grew up with the series).
From Dusk Till Dawn
The first season of the television adaptation of the hit film had a few rough spots in its first season, but it ultimately concluded in a satisfying way, making way for a stellar second season. Catch up now since it just got renewed for a third season!
The Strain
Sure, the first season of Guillermo del Toro’s The Strain had its problems, but it was still an entertaining watch! The second season, while not perfect, improved on many of the first season’s problems. If you were a fan, there’s no time like the present to start your collection!
True Blood
I won’t lie to you, the last season of True Blood was pure garbage and an insult to fans, but that doesn’t mean that everything that came before it was terrible. Seasons 1-4 are pretty great and Season 6 saw the show back in its prime, before crash-landing in its seventh and final season. Still, the $130 price tag for the complete series on Blu-Ray is practically the same price as two separate seasons at Best Buy (seriously, those things are never less than $60 when I see them in the store).
