Episode 3 – Ruby’s Introduction
Okay, technically she wasn’t introduced in this episode (she had a blink-and-you-miss-it scene with Fisher in the pilot), but this sequence serves as her formal introduction. As was usually the case this season, Ruby was always right behind Ash, usually just barely missing him. Watching her get to impale a Deadite on a wooden cross and then torment him with the utensil she just jammed in his eye is a fantastic way to show that Ruby knows what she’s doing and that she is not someone you want to mess with. Also, Lucy Lawless is amazing. Every show could use a little more Lucy Lawless.
