A word of warning: the trailer embedded below is pretty spoilery. I would recommend going into this one as blind as possible, but if you must know what it’s about then so be it. The film follows three young girls over the course of a few days in the month of, you guessed it, February. Kat (Kiernan Shipka, Mad Men, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) is left to spend the break at her boarding school after her parents fail to show up to take her home. Accompanying Kat over the break is Rose (English TV actress Lucy Boynton) who is in the middle of a pregnancy scare and has lied to her parents about when they can pick her up so she can discuss her potential pregnancy with her boyfriend. Meanwhile, Joan (Emma Roberts, Scream 4, Scream Queens, American Horror Story) hitches a ride with an older couple (James Remar & Lauren Holly) to an unspecified location. The stories intersect at various points, but it all adds up to one of the most unique takes on a possession film since The Exorcism of Emily Rose. It proved to be one of the more polarizing films of the festival season, but it is a truly chilling piece of work and a showcase for the trio of leading ladies.
