American Psycho
For a book that was once considered un-filmable, Mary Harron sure did make adapting it seem easy! Of course, there were some hiccups along the way. Weirdly enough, it wasn’t any of the violence that had the MPAA up in arms, it was the threesome scene! Now, maybe if the MPAA had actually read Brett Easton Ellis’ novel, they would have seen how graphic the scene could have been (I don’t think I’ve ever been more disturbed by something in a book). Then maybe they would have been cool with what Harron filmed.
