Curt and Jules – The Cabin in the Woods
I’m not going to lie, Jules’ death really hurt me. Her death was inevitable, since she was “the whore,” but a part of me wished the film would have subverted genre conventions a little bit more and killed her last (or not at all). Curt was also a really nice and smart guy, even if he was relegated to the role of “the athlete.” They seemed like they would have really gone places had they made it out of the woods alive. Alas, it was not meant to be. Jules was beheaded and Curt fell to his death down a ravine after riding his motorcycle into an invisible force field. It’s less silly than it sounds.
