[Exclusive] Two Volume Limited Vinyl Set “SAW Anthology” Coming in March

Published

on

The collection includes every original score from the entire franchise!

Charlie Clouser, a member of Nine Inch Nails from 1994-2000, is also known to horror fans for composing the iconic sounds of the long-running SAW franchise, and his hugely important contributions are getting the respect they deserve courtesy of an upcoming two-volume vinyl set that we’re excited to exclusively debut here today.

SAW Anthology Volume 1 & Volume 2 collect, for the first time on vinyl, the original scores from all eight films in the SAW anthology. Volume 1 contains music from SAW 1 through 4 while Volume 2 features music from SAW 5 through 7 and last year’s JIGSAW.

The SAW Anthology is my attempt to present a chronological musical journey through all eight films in the SAW franchise, highlighting my favorite cues and revealing how the music has evolved along with the story,” Clouser told us of the limited edition set, which he personally curated. “From small, intimate moments to utter bombast and sonic mayhem, I think this release will show the range of approaches that the changing style of the films required.”

He continued, “I’m really proud of this compilation, as I feel it represents a sonic journey through the last fourteen years of the SAW franchise, and it was a labor of love to assemble. I re-booted, re-mixed, and re-combined my favorite cues in an attempt to feature a balanced selection of the best musical moments from all eight films.

The tunes have been pressed on “Saw Blade Silver Vinyl Discs” for this release, and the disc sleeves will feature ‘in studio’ photography exclusive to the album release.

Both volumes will be released by Lakeshore Records exclusively at FYE stores in the U.S. and at HMV in the UK on March 16. Preview the insanely cool collection below!
