Add Foo Fighters to the list of musicians who have taken their talents to Hollywood.
Bloody Disgusting is hearing that Foo Fighters, the incredibly popular rock band fronted by former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl, is starring in a brand new horror-comedy for Universal Pictures. (Update: we’re now hearing the film is being shopped to buyers.)
Filmed in secret during the pandemic, we’re told that Hatchet III director BJ McDonnell took the reigns on the film that allegedly features a bunch of all-star cameos.
As for the plot, what we’re learning is that the band is haunted during a recording session and become possessed.
It should be noted that we have yet to confirm this news with any official sources, but have now been told this information by multiple insiders. We’ll update this accordingly as we learn more or gain additional confirmation.
This wouldn’t be the only Universal project featuring rock stars as Rob Zombie is rumored to be working on a Munsters movie, which is said to begin filming in Budapest this May.
The concept isn’t a new one as bands have crossed over into pop culture several times in the past, including the infamous 1978 cult movie Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Park.
