Horror icons Bill Moseley (The Devil’s Rejects) and Lin Shaye (Insidious) have a contentious first meeting in our exclusive clip from Scared to Death.
Heads will roll when the supernatural horror comedy haunts select theaters today, March 13, via Atlas Distribution.
It follows a group of filmmakers who attend a seance at an abandoned orphanage in order to research their horror movie. When the ritual begins, the cast and crew are trapped inside and tormented by the spirits of the children — and something far worse.
Olivier Paris, Victoria Konefal (“Days of Our Lives”), B.J. Minor (“Bel-Air”), Jade Chynoweth (300: Rise of an Empire), Rae Dawn Chong (Commando), Lucinda Jenney (Thinner), and musician Kurt Deimer (Halloween 2018) round out the cast.
Scottish music video helmer Paul Boyd (Shania Twain, Sting, Deadmau5) writes and directs, loosely based on actual events.
Steve Poster (Donnie Darko, Rocky V) serves as cinematographer. Eric Barrett and Todd Slater produce.
“Working with Lin Shaye and Bill Moseley was just surreal and amazing.” Deimer tells Bloody Disgusting. “I feel incredibly blessed to have been able to play the Grog in Scared to Death and simply be in the same room with mentors like them. Being around actors of that caliber and getting the chance to show what I can do on screen alongside them was an amazing experience.”
Moseley and Shaye previously starred together in 2001 Maniacs: Field of Screams and Gothic Harvest.
