Target Just Put “Stranger Things” Season 1 on 4K Ultra HD With VHS Packaging

Just last month, Target officially became THE place to buy “Stranger Things” merchandise, unleashing a full collection of exclusive toys, clothing and other goodies. Additionally, Target became the only place to pick up a Blu-ray release of the show’s first season, housed inside of retro-style VHS packaging.

If you were hoping a 4K Ultra HD release was coming, you’re in luck!

Various different release dates have been reported, but according to Target’s website, the “Stranger Things” Season 1 4K Ultra HD release, which also comes in VHS-style packaging (with different art than the Blu-ray release), is now available in all stores.

The 4-disc set, selling for $30, includes every Season 1 episode in 4K, along with Blu-ray discs and even a free Season 2 poster. Check out the box art below.

Gateway Horror Classic ‘The Gate’ Returns to Life With Blu-ray SteelBook in May

One of my personal favorite horror movies of all time, 1987’s gateway horror classic The Gate is opening back up on May 14 with a brand new Blu-ray SteelBook release from Lionsgate!

The new release will feature fresh SteelBook artwork from Vance Kelly, seen below.

When best friends Glen (Stephen Dorff) and Terry (Louis Tripp) stumble across a mysterious crystalline rock in Glen’s backyard, they quickly dig up the newly sodden lawn searching for more precious stones.
