Here’s Every Horror Film Coming to Netflix in August 2018

As we approach the start of a new month, a new batch of new and old movies and television shows are soon going to be unleashed on Netflix, and we’ve got the August lineup today.

Here’s all the genre entertainment headed to Netflix in the coming weeks…


AUGUST 1ST:

Chernobyl Diaries 

“Six tourists hire an extreme tour guide who takes them to the abandoned city Pripyat, the former home to the workers of the Chernobyl nuclear reactor. During their exploration, they soon discover they are not alone.”

AUGUST 11TH:

No Country for Old Men

AUGUST 17th:

Matt Groening’s Disenchantment – NETFLIX ORIGINAL

This animated series from Matt Groening follows the misadventures of a hard-drinking princess, her feisty elf companion and her personal demon.”


AUGUST 24TH:

Ghoul – NETFLIX ORIGINAL

A newly minted military interrogator arrives at a covert detention center to discover that some of the terrorists held there are not of this world.”

The Innocents – NETFLIX ORIGINAL

Gateway Horror Classic ‘The Gate’ Returns to Life With Blu-ray SteelBook in May

One of my personal favorite horror movies of all time, 1987’s gateway horror classic The Gate is opening back up on May 14 with a brand new Blu-ray SteelBook release from Lionsgate!

The new release will feature fresh SteelBook artwork from Vance Kelly, seen below.

When best friends Glen (Stephen Dorff) and Terry (Louis Tripp) stumble across a mysterious crystalline rock in Glen’s backyard, they quickly dig up the newly sodden lawn searching for more precious stones. Instead, they unearth The Gate — an underground chamber of terrifying demonic evil. The teenagers soon understand what evil they’ve released as they are overcome with an assortment of horrific experiences.
