Josh Becker’s obscure 1991 cult film Lunatics: A Love Story, starring both Ted Raimi and Bruce Campbell, has to date *never* been released on DVD, but that’s changing later this year thanks to Australian company Umbrella Entertainment. As they announced over the weekend, the oddball ’90s flick is coming home to DVD in November!
Ted Raimi stars as Hank, who hasn’t left his apartment in months because giant spiders, psycho rappers and evil doctors with long needles are out to get him (or so he thinks). Meanwhile, Nancy (Deborah Foreman) is on the run from local thugs. When a chance encounter brings them together, things start looking up as they help each other overcome their problems and fall in love… but not before tin foil, hallucinations, claustrophobia and Bruce Campbell get in their way! Who says love is blind? It’s downright insane!
