WORLD OF DEATH Ep. 114 – Movie / Multiple

Published

on

Buckle up, WOD fans, and take careful notes. In this episode of World of Death, we’re treated to two bloody segments which will leave you asking “what the fuck just happened?” in the best way possible!

First up is a short and bloody little morsel titled “The Movie” directed by Brian Lockyer. A woman goes about a typical evening, performing mundane tasks like cooking dinner and doing her laundry. But, as you and I well know, in the World of Death universe, nothing is mundane and we’re well aware that things are not going to end well for our protagonist. After receiving a knock at the door, she finds an ominous DVD on the floor and that’s when things really take a turn. Without giving too much away, Brian takes us on a fun little ride that, in my opinion at least, seems to brim with fun old school horror influence. From 1990’s Japanese media-based horror, to old monster movies of the 1950’s, Brian packs in a lot of horror in just a few brief minutes and reminds us that if you find an unmarked DVD, throw it out!

Next on this terrifying double-bill is “Multiple” directed by Zeke Arredondo. A father, his wife and their two children sit down to enjoy some horrifically ketchup-less burgers when the father notices something on his daughter. This kicks into motion a series of assumed hallucinations, ending in a twist that I honestly did not see coming. Needless to say, those burgers go cold. Reminding me of a low-budget David Lynchian mindfuck, “Multiple” left me wondering what happened and warranted multiple (pun unintended at first, but then intended) viewings to get to the bottom of it. It’s a fun little shocker which left me eager to see what Zeke will come up with next.

Tune into the next episode of World of Death to see what Scotchworthy Productions and Bloody Disgusting have in store for you in their gruesome tour around the globe!

Anna Faris & Regina Hall Promise ‘Scary Movie’ Will “Offend Everyone;” New Images Revealed

Published

The Wayans are out to cancel the Cancel Culture with Scary Movie, and the cast assures it will do just that.

“They sort of have an across-the-board style,” Anna Faris tells EW. “It’s always been a part of the Wayans Brothers, their electricity. ‘Can we offend you? Will you still love us? Come on, you still love us, don’t you?'”

Regina Hall concurs, promising the “boundary-pushing” sixth installment in the horror parody franchise will “offend everyone.”

EW has shared a batch of behind-the-scenes images from Scary Movie, which hits theaters June 5 via Paramount.

Faris and Hall are joined by fellow franchise favorites Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Dave Sheridan, Lochlyn Munro, Cheri Oteri, Chris Elliott, and Jon Abrahams in the legacy sequel.

The ensemble includes Damon Wayans Jr., Gregg Wayans, Kim Wayans, Benny Zielke, Cameron Scott Roberts, Heidi Gardner, Olivia Rose Keegan, Ruby Snowber, Savannah Lee Nassif, Sydney Park, Kenan Thompson, and Felissa Rose.

Michael Tiddes (A Haunted House) directs from a script by Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, original Scary Movie director Keenen Ivory Wayans, Craig Wayans (Scary Movie 2), and Rick Alvarez (A Haunted House).

The film will slash through reboots, remakes, requels, prequels, sequels, spin-offs, elevated horror, origin stories, anything with the word legacy in it, and everyfinal chapterthat absolutely isn’t final.

Scary Movie launched in 2000, followed by Scary Movie 2 in 2001. The Wayans’ involvement ended there, but the series continued with 2003’s Scary Movie 3, 2006’s Scary Movie 4, and 2013’s Scary Movie 5.
