WORLD OF DEATH Ep. 147 – Skin / Moira

Published

on

Hello friends and neighbors, looks like another amazing episode of the World of Death. Today we will feature two tales all about infatuation. Some call it love, some call it sickness… that is all a matter of perspective as you will soon find out.

First, we bring you “Skin” by Mark Blackman, a surreal tale of love, beauty and devotion. Such quaint topics, one often forgets how real it all can be. The expert cinematography pulls you in as the overall tone befits the morally grey subject matter we so often find in life. Just when you thought there were no more shades to go darker, this tale brings you to the precipice of darkness and then with a slice of the knife frees you. Of course, freedom in the World of Death is never a simple matter, it is always the exchange of one terrifying situation for another.

Our second piece, beauty and infatuation play out their deadly game once again, this time over the enticing “Moira” of whom the short is titled. Come along and witness the methodical way our narrator plans to fulfill destiny by taking the life of his love, salvation and remedy. In this magnificent tale of fate, we witness the genesis of a killer from inspiration at the early age of eight through adulthood and the quest to take the first life. Then a twist that thrills this old spook’s heart comes and… well, you have to wait to see it.

That is all the the World of Death there is for today folks, but never fear, we have more episodes coming soon. Remember to keep the blinds closed, unless you want to see the horrors lurking just outside!

Anna Faris & Regina Hall Promise ‘Scary Movie’ Will “Offend Everyone;” New Images Revealed

The Wayans are out to cancel the Cancel Culture with Scary Movie, and the cast assures it will do just that.

“They sort of have an across-the-board style,” Anna Faris tells EW. “It’s always been a part of the Wayans Brothers, their electricity. ‘Can we offend you? Will you still love us? Come on, you still love us, don’t you?'”

Regina Hall concurs, promising the “boundary-pushing” sixth installment in the horror parody franchise will “offend everyone.”

EW has shared a batch of behind-the-scenes images from Scary Movie, which hits theaters June 5 via Paramount.

Faris and Hall are joined by fellow franchise favorites Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Dave Sheridan, Lochlyn Munro, Cheri Oteri, Chris Elliott, and Jon Abrahams in the legacy sequel.

The ensemble includes Damon Wayans Jr., Gregg Wayans, Kim Wayans, Benny Zielke, Cameron Scott Roberts, Heidi Gardner, Olivia Rose Keegan, Ruby Snowber, Savannah Lee Nassif, Sydney Park, Kenan Thompson, and Felissa Rose.

Michael Tiddes (A Haunted House) directs from a script by Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, original Scary Movie director Keenen Ivory Wayans, Craig Wayans (Scary Movie 2), and Rick Alvarez (A Haunted House).

The film will slash through reboots, remakes, requels, prequels, sequels, spin-offs, elevated horror, origin stories, anything with the word legacy in it, and everyfinal chapterthat absolutely isn’t final.

Scary Movie launched in 2000, followed by Scary Movie 2 in 2001. The Wayans’ involvement ended there, but the series continued with 2003’s Scary Movie 3, 2006’s Scary Movie 4, and 2013’s Scary Movie 5.
