Darren Lynn Bousman’s Abattoir is being hailed as a new kind of horror and I think it’s time that you got a little taste of what to expect. Below is a clip from the film (courtesy of Deadline) which shows Julia, a real estate reporter, who is learning about terrible experiences that all happened in the same building.
Lynn Bousman tells the site, “Everyone interacting in [Abattoir] is from a time long past. The whole movie is about loss and tragedy, things being ripped from us — in this case, these rooms — and relationships. Imagine if you were in a place that was only tragedies.”
“‘Abattoir’ centers on a real estate reporter who unearths an urban legend about a house being built from rooms where horrific tragedies have occurred. The investigation ultimately leads to the enigmatic Jebediah Crone and the answer to the terrifying question, ‘How do you build a haunted house?’”
