More than 40 years after its release, The Exorcist is still hailed as one of the most terrifying horror films ever released. Its impact on the film world since its release is undeniable and it deserves all the respect and admiration it receives.
Beautifully realized, it’s wonderful to find out that the entire process, including what went on behind-the-scenes, received just as much care as the final product. Thanks to a tweet from EyesOnCinema, we’re able to see some gloriously detailed storyboards for The Exorcist as drawn by production designer Bill Malley. The intricacy is stunning and it really shows just how much thought went into crafting each and every scene.
