Welcome back for another edition of World of Death. Is everyone getting over their IT trailer hangovers from yesterday? The horror world exploded in praise for the new rendition of Pennywise. Today’s episode doesn’t exactly have a central theme, but we do have a couple of our own monsters here for you pleasure.

Coming at you from the UK is Peter Murfet’s Beware theMummified Motherfucker. This is a fun little flick, utilizing some very crafty camerawork to convey their message. A girl is walking home and encounters three “thugs” who are clearly up to no good. But have no fear! The Mummified Motherfucker is here. This dude is like Darkman and King Tut all rolled up into one ass-kicking Egyptian burrito. I have to say I was a little disappointed by the lack of actual fake blood when it was needed, but I appreciate the FX work they were still able to work into the action.

Coming from Portugal, just in time for March Madness, we have Macho by José Pedro Lopes. In this short, a man and woman decked out in their athletic wear, armed with a basketball, hit the courts to shoot some hoops. There’s one catch. The court is full of the undead army. Drooling, chomping, growling zombies guarding the paint like Shaq in his prime. But as we all know, whenever zombies are involved, things never go as planned. Some decent zombie makeup and believable performances from the actors make this a watchable flick.
