WORLD OF DEATH Ep. 68 – Magnet / A Woman Scorned

There’s nothing I love more than the story of a woman, fueled by revenge, taking what is rightfully hers, or in this case, taking the life of someone else.  Tonight on WORLD OF DEATH, we take a look at two films where men assumedly get what’s coming to them, and women put to bed the notion of “the fairer sex”.

First in Adam Beal’s THE LITTLE MISSUS, a wife finds out her husband is cheating, and while cooking his dinner, comes up with an inventive way to get her revenge.  I would have loved a little bit more blood and guts here (things you thought you’d never say), but I loved the fun editing and the wife’s expressive acting.  A smirk goes a long way in a film like this.

Next in A WOMAN SCORNED by Jeff Thompson, a woman expertly crafts a poppet in the image of a man, and tortures him from afar in the comfort of her candlelit home. I love the idea of not having to get your hands dirty to enact revenge, and the contrast between the warm candles and the cold exterior where the man is being tortured, but as I said with the first film, I wish there was more blood.  MORE BLOOD I SAY!  I must be a descendent of Elizabeth Bathory…

That’s all for this week darlings, stay tuned next week for more hellish good times on World of Death!
