Hi, constant World of Death viewers! It’s that time again, we have two fantastic shorts to show you today that will melt your minds! If you’ve ever had to endure any kind of family get together, you can attest to the fact that sometimes, being around people can make your head just BURST. And because we’ve all just gotten back from Easter weekend, we’ve decided to show you a couple of films about people who just can’t take the headache anymore.
First up in Adam Danbury’s MIGRAINE, we get to see the actual embodiment of a migraine torture its victim. The ghoul in question looks a little like someone who missed his opportunity to join the Misfits Fiend Club, but anyone who’s suffered migraines can relate to the awful feeling of your brain on the verge of popping like a bottle rocket. The use of sound in this one is great and reminds me of negative ASMR, which is essentially sounds that give you shivers down your spine.
Next on WOD we have KILLER TUNES by John Stewart, wherein a musician stands in a sound booth, recording the last song on his newest album. But little does he know that his faithful producer has a plan to make the album skyrocket, and he might not be on board. Anyone in the arts knows that it’s hard putting your work out there for the world to judge and potentially take advantage of, especially when your life is on the line.
That’s all for today, darlings! Stay tuned for more gory fun on the next episode of World of Death!
