Banned from eBay, the Infamous Baby Prop from ‘A Serbian Film’ Returns to Auction

Should some movie tickets come with coupons for therapy?

Last month, you may remember, a handful of props from A Serbian Film went up for auction through eBay, most notably the baby prop from one of the most infamously vile scenes in horror history. Not long after we wrote up an article to let you know, we were forced to update the story: eBay had banned the auction, we learned!

They have even refused to sell the costumes, stuffed toys and well, you know, the other stuff,” Unearthed Films said in a statement after the auction was pulled.

In the wake of the eBay debacle, Unearthed Films informs us that the collection is back up for auction today, this time being executed independently with “no interference, no censorship.”

Unearthed Films explains, “Due to a number of complaints from small-minded people, eBay pulled the auction from its site. We argued with them about the ban for days but ultimately to no avail. However, we have not yielded. We at Unearthed Films are opposed to all forms of censorship and we have been busy building a new auction site for horror fans.”

They add, “eBay’s regressive policies may have robbed us of the opportunity to leverage the excitement generated by the A Serbian Exhibition and the screening of the newly restored version of the film but we are back with a brand new auction site and ready to do business.”

In addition to the screen-used baby prop, which has a starting bid of $6,000, Unearthed Films is also auctioning off other props, wardrobe items, and memorabilia from the set of A Serbian Film. The auction will be running for fourteen days instead of seven, ending on June 30th, 2018, and you can browse the collection on Unearthed’s website.
