Chucky Kills Buzz Lightyear on Latest ‘Child’s Play’ Poster
After laying waste to Woody and Slinky, Chucky has now set his sights on Buzz Lightyear on the latest poster for Orion and director Lars Klevberg’s Child’s Play, part of a fun marketing campaign that plays up the fact that the film will be competing with Toy Story 4 at the summer box office – both films, in a fun bit of counter-programming from Orion, will open June 21st!
Chucky arms himself with Buzz’s phaser on this latest poster, which he has used to end the lovable toy’s life. Death by your own weapon… a cruel fate for our heroic pal!
In Klevberg’s modern take on the horror classic, a mother (Aubrey Plaza) gives her son (Gabriel Bateman) a Buddi doll for his birthday, unaware of its more sinister nature.
Mark Hamill is the new voice of Chucky.
