With a headline-making stint in WWE under her belt, Ronda Rousey is next lampooning the world of sports entertainment with Tables, we’ve learned this week, a horror-comedy wherein the MMA legend does battle with sentient, killer versions of one of the most popular weapons in professional wrestling. She’s been put through tables, and now they’re out to kill her.
In Tables, directed by Justin Golightly and Kyle Nilges, “All hell breaks loose on a peaceful retreat as a strange and violent force terrorizes Browsey Acres.”
Travis Browne, Julia DeMars, Devon Hughes, and Saraya “Paige” Bevis also star.
The film seems to have been inspired by Hall of Fame legend Devon Hughes’ professional wrestling character “D-Von Dudley,” who was known for putting his victims through tables.
The concept behind the Syfy-level B-movie is that Hughes killed countless tables throughout his career and the tables are now fighting back. No seriously. You *have* to watch this…
