Director Darren Lynn Bousman has announced that production has wrapped on the ninth Saw, which stars Chris Rock as a police detective investigating a series of grisly crimes.
Samuel L. Jackson will portray Rock’s father, with Nazneen Contractor as a coroner who works closely with Rock’s character. Max Minghella (Horns, The Darkest Hour) plays William Schenk, Rock’s partner, and Marisol Nichols (Scream 2, “Riverdale”) plays Capt. Angie Garza, Rock’s boss.
The film will offer fans worldwide a new amped-up level of deviously treacherous traps, clever clues and the edge-of-the-seat suspense they expect from one of the world’s most terrifying horror franchises.
There’s still no word on if we’ll see Tobin Bell‘s Jigsaw in this new installment or how canonized it will be, but we’ll find out when in opens in theaters May 15, 2020.
