As you’ve probably heard by now, there’s an extended version of Quentin Tarantino‘s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood that runs quite a bit longer than the 2-hour, 45-minute version released in theaters over the summer, and the rumor is that the full extended cut, which reportedly runs right around 4-hours long, will eventually makes its way onto Netflix.
In the meantime, an extended cut of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood will be released in 1,500 theaters this Friday, October 25, featuring four new scenes added in by Tarantino!
Deadline reports, “Four never-before-scenes will be added, book-ending the new print.”
“Audiences have shown tremendous support for this movie, and we look forward to offering them another opportunity to see the film as it’s meant to be seen – in theaters on the big screen – with more sights and sounds of the sixties from Quentin Tarantino as an added treat,” said Adrian Smith, President of Domestic Distribution, Sony Pictures Motion Picture Group.
The awards season push from Sony comes in the wake of Once Upon a Time making $368 million worldwide – Tarantino’s second highest grossing film behind Django Unchained.
