[Trailer] Alison Brie Experiences Surreal Visions in Netflix’s Psychological Thriller ‘Horse Girl’

From executive producers Mark Duplass and Jay Duplass comes Netflix‘s Horse Girl, a new thriller starring Alison Brie (“Glow”) that just debuted its official trailer this morning.

In the film, directed by Jeff Baena, Brie stars as Sarah, a socially isolated arts and crafts store employee who finds herself more content in the company of horses and supernatural crime shows than people. But when a series of strangely surreal dreams upend the simplicity of her waking life, Sarah struggles to distinguish her visions from reality.

Netflix describes Horse Girl as “a darkly humorous psychological thriller about a woman’s search for the truth, however abstract it may be.”

We don’t know quite what to expect from this one, or how far it’ll be delving into those genre elements – there’s mention of alien abductions and glimpses of claw marks that seem to have come from something that’s not quite human, so this one could certainly surprise the hell out of us – but one thing is for certain: Horse Girl damn sure has our attention.

Watch the trailer below and find it on Netflix on February 7.

The cast includes Debby Ryan, John Reynolds, Molly Shannon, John Ortiz, Paul Reiser, and Jay Duplass. In addition to starring, Alison Brie also wrote the film with Jeff Baena.
