Writer/director David Gordon Green, actress and icon Jamie Lee Curtis, franchise producer Malek Akkad from Trancas Films, producer Bill Block from Miramax, and producer Jason Blum took part in a Halloween Kills panel during the virtual BlumFest today, and as we hoped, they brought along brand new footage from next year’s sequel to the 2018 version of Halloween!
Gordon Green promised “twice the thrills and ten times the kills” during today’s panel, and this new 36-second look at the film does indeed tease one hell of a bloody kill. It also gives us our first clear look at Michael Myers in the movie, his mask melted and burnt in the wake of the 2018 movie’s fiery final act, along with a tease of Tommy Doyle’s return to the series.
Check it out below!
The cast includes Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, Andi Matichak and Robert Longstreet, with original Halloween actor Charles Cyphers returning as Sheriff Leigh Brackett.
Anthony Michael Hall also stars in the new film as Tommy Doyle, with the returning Kyle Richards as Lindsey Wallace and Nancy Stephens as Nurse Marion Chambers.
Gordon Green wrote the script with Danny McBride and Scott Teems.
The current release date for Halloween Kills is October 15, 2021, only in theaters.
