Fleshy New ‘Spiral’ Images Promise, Oh Yes, There Will Be Blood! [Gallery]

The games continue in just two weeks when Lionsgate gets back in theaters with Spiral: From the Book of Saw, a brand new take on the Saw franchise that brings Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw II-IV) back behind the camera from a concept by comedian Chris Rock.

Rock is featured in these brand new images as Detective Ezekiel “Zeke” Banks, who is investigating a crime scene trap that ended badly. While we’ve already seen the below photo that teases a death by train, the above shot is a gruesome close-up of the aftermath. There’s also a really cool new look at the alternate pig mask, which calls back to the very first Saw from director James Wan and writer/star Leigh Whannell.

“Working in the shadow of an esteemed police veteran (Samuel L. Jackson), brash Detective Ezekiel “Zeke” Banks (Chris Rock) and his rookie partner (Max Minghella) take charge of a grisly investigation into murders that are eerily reminiscent of the city’s gruesome past. Unwittingly entrapped in a deepening mystery, Zeke finds himself at the center of the killer’s morbid game.”
