Director John Trengrove (The Wound) is set to make his English-language debut with the upcoming Manodrome, detailed by Deadline today and described as a “nihilistic thriller.”
Jesse Eisenberg, Adrien Brody, and Riley Keough will lead the cast.
Keough is also on board to produce.
“Manodrome tells the story of Ralphie (Eisenberg), an Uber driver and aspiring bodybuilder who is inducted into a libertarian masculinity cult and loses his grip on reality when his repressed desires are awakened.”
John Trengrove wrote the script. Deadline notes in their report, “Pic package will be presented to buyers and financiers during the Cannes virtual market just getting underway.”
