‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage’ Images Reveal Shriek, Carnage’s Love Interest!

Published

The first Venom teased “Maximum Carnage” and with these new images from the forthcoming sequel, we’re one step closer to seeing it become a reality.

The comic book arc “Maximum Carnage” delivered more than just extreme Carnage, but an entire symbiote family that was highlighted by Shriek, Carnage’s sonic-powered accomplice and eventual love interest. She-Carnage if you will.

Sony Pictures is going symbiote crazy with Venom: Let There Be Carnage, which stars Naomie Harris as Frances Barrison, the host of the symbiote Shriek. We have your first look in a new batch of photos that show Harris locked up in the same facility from the first Venom.

Could these images imply that Shriek and Carnage will be joined by Demogoblin, Doppelganger, and Carrion? Even more interesting, “Maximum Carnage” eventually leads to the involvement of Spider-Man (Venom 3 maybe?).

Shriek’s origins were previously detailed by Deadline: “A drug dealer named Frances Barrison became the volatile Shriek after severe trauma allow her latent mutant powers to emerge. In the comics, those powers include sonic energy blasts, flight, and the ability to stir up dark and violent emotions in others.”

The addition of “She-Carnage” is also interesting because Michelle Williams is returning in the Venom sequel after making a brief appearance as “She-Venom”.

Is it possible that She-Venom will go to battle with Shriek in Let there Be Carnage?

Andy Serkis directs this time around with Tom Hardy returning as Eddie Brock/Venom, “an abrasive journalist who comes in contact with an extraterrestrial organism that melds to his body to create the toothy super-powered beast called Venom.”

Let There Be Carnage bonds with audiences on October 15, 2021.

John Lee (False Positive) will direct Mountain Man from a script by Matt Deller.

“John is a brilliant creative mind. We’ve been looking for the right thing to do together since we filmed Pee Wee’s Big Holiday and it’s finally here,” 3:59’s Joe and Nick Manganiello told Deadline. “Very excited to get to work on such weird, wild project with him.”
