Suicide Forest Village Screambox

Takashi Shimizu (Ju-on, The Grudge) is back in top form with brand new horror movie Suicide Forest Village, now streaming exclusively on the BD-powered SCREAMBOX streaming service!

Shimizu’s Suicide Forest Village is inspired by the real-life Aokigahara Forest (aka Suicide Forest) at the base of Mt. Fuji known for its frequent suicides and hauntings…

“When a group of friends come across a mysterious box, they unleash a curse that quickly spreads to those around them. The source of the box is the Jukai Village, where it is said that the land holds a grudge against trespassers and anyone that enters it, cannot escape alive.

Suicide Forest Village is something of a dark fairytale, a scary and highly emotional horror movie that creates its own mythology out of the real life location while approaching it with the proper solemnity. And just wait until you experience the film’s final act, which is truly a jaw-dropper. Takashi Shimizu, needless to say, is very much still a master of horror here in 2022.
