Howie Dewin, the creator of cult horror movie Llamageddon, is back this year with “a new tail of terror,” this time an alpaca-themed horror movie titled Alpacalypse.
The catch? Dewin’s team needs your help to bring their latest wacky vision to life.
The team explains, “To all our loyal Llamageddon fans thank you so much! We wouldn’t be here without you, your support means the world to us! Thank you, thank you, thank you! It is because of your support that we are proud to bring you Alpacalypse! We just need a little financial help bringing this monstrosity to the big and small screens near you!”
In the upcoming film, “A failed science experiment turns disastrous when a group of genetically engineered alpacas escape from the lab. As their powers grow so does their furry fury. No one is safe in this wooly terror, will you survive the ALPACALYPSE?”
Dewin promises more blood… more explosions… and of course, more alpacas.

UPDATE: 4/25/23 – James Cox, one of the co-creators of Llamageddon, has reached out to Bloody Disgusting with the following statement regarding Alpacalypse…
“Fans and friends are reaching out regarding the Alpacalypse Indiegogo campaign and some clarity is needed. The director, Howie, chose to begin this sequel without informing me, Jacques M.F. (actor who played Floyd, co-writer, and art director) and other creators and contributors (including the cinematographer). We didn’t know he had started shooting until the Indiegogo went live. From the look of the teaser, it sadly appears that he’s using parts of the script three of us co-creators wrote. The campaign also seems to use parts of the launch strategy we had discussed. We spent a lot of time and effort planning out a trilogy, only to be blindsided. Furthermore, as the Indiegogo does not state the reality of the situation, there are supporters that assume it’s the original team and are troubled to learn otherwise. This ordeal is causing confusion, disappointment, and distress for a lot of people.
“With all this said, we’re hoping to figure out a positive outcome for everyone.”
