The ultra-violent Project Wolf Hunting is now streaming exclusively on SCREAMBOX, and we promise it’s one of the bloodiest and most violent movies you’ll see all year.

Project Wolf Hunting, which Nightmare on Film Street hailed as “one of the most savage, bloodthirsty action movies of the year,” is explosively fun, a high-octane beast of a splatterfest that’s jam-packed with midnight chaos from broken bones to exploding heads.

“While under heavily armed guard, the dangerous convicts aboard a cargo ship unite in a coordinated escape attempt that soon escalates into a bloody, all-out riot. But as the fugitives continue their brutal campaign of terror, they discover that not even the most vicious among them is safe from the horror they unknowingly unleashed from the darkness below deck.”

The first original production from new genre studio Welcome Villain Films, Malum (read our review) is an expanded reimagining of the 2014 horror movie Last Shift, and it was released in theaters back in March. Beginning today, Malum is now available on VOD.

Directed by Anthony DiBlasi (Last Shift, Dread, Extremity) and co-written by DiBlasi and Scott Poiley (Last Shift, Missionary, Exhume), the same creative team behind 2014’s Last Shift, Malum reimagines the original critically-acclaimed horror hit.

“On a search to uncover the mysterious circumstances surrounding her father’s death, a newly appointed police officer, Jessica Loren (Jessica Sula), is assigned to the last shift in a decommissioned police station where a notoriously vicious cult saw their demise years prior. The lone officer at the station, she soon finds herself barraged by terrifying paranormal events and, in the process, is taken on a journey during which she learns the shocking truth behind her family’s entanglement with a demented cult leader.

“Malum takes the premise of the 2014 festival hit and flips it on its head, thrusting viewers into an unrelenting, adrenaline-fueled, bloody cult nightmare.”

Writer/Director Jalmari Helander (Rare Exports, Big Game) is back with Lionsgate’s Sisu, an ultra-violent genre movie that was released on at-home VOD beginning today.

This time, Helander reteams with Rare Exports actor Jorma Tommila for one epic and hyper-violent period adventure through the wilderness of Lapland in Northern Finland. 

“During the last desperate days of WWII, a solitary prospector crosses paths with Nazis on a scorched-earth retreat in northern Finland.  When the Nazis steal his gold, they quickly discover that they have just tangled with no ordinary miner. While there is no direct translation for the Finnish word “sisu”, this legendary ex-commando will embody what sisu means: a white-knuckled form of courage and unimaginable determination in the face of overwhelming odds. And no matter what the Nazis throw at him, the one-man death squad will go to outrageous lengths to get his gold back – even if it means killing every last Nazi in his path.”

Sisu also stars Jack Doolan, Mimosa Willamo, and Onni Tommila.

Meagan Navarro wrote in her review for Bloody Disgusting, “Sisu feels like a gritty actioner of yesteryear but with a modern sense of style. Helander manages to keep progressing this bloody battle in surprising ways. When you think you’ve reached a showstopper action sequence or gory kill, expect another to come along to top it.”

The latest Tubi Original, Sleeping Beauties is now streaming only on Tubi.

In the film, a widow opens a door to the other side and awakens hostile spirits…

“Pregnant and recently widowed, Cahya is desperate to reconnect with her deceased husband and employs a shaman to open a doorway for a spiritual reunion. But when Cahya is forced to accept a job as a maid to compensate for her husband’s death, she finds herself working in a haunted mansion.

Freestyle Digital Media will release their smart house psychological horror thriller Motion Detected on VOD outlets this Friday, May 19. Written and directed by Justin Gallaher and Sam Roseme, the “spine-chilling feature” tells the story of a traumatized survivor who soon finds herself in even more danger, and at the mercy of her own home.

Here’s the full plot synopsis: “Eva narrowly escaped being murdered during a recent terrifying home invasion in Mexico City. She and her husband decide to relocate to Los Angeles where she can recuperate. But when her husband has to travel for business, she’s left alone in an unfamiliar place and suffering from paranoia.

“She’s consoled by the smart home security system, but the technology is difficult to master and she starts to wonder if it will actually keep her safe or take over her life.”

The cast of Motion Detected includes Natasha Esca (“Narcos: Mexico”), Katelyn MacMullen (“General Hospital”), Roland Buck III (“Chicago Med”), Carlo Mendez (“The Bay”), Julie Brister (“Goliath”) and Bob Clendenin (“Cougar Town”).
